Print Press Operator

The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required to perform this job successfully.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Setup & Calibration: Reading job orders, installing plates/aniloxes, loading materials, and calibrating machine settings (ink, pressure, guides) for quality.
  • Operation & Monitoring: Running the press at high speeds, ensuring smooth material flow, adjusting for consistency, and checking for print defects during production.
  • Quality Control: Inspecting finished products against specifications, using measuring tools, and making real-time adjustments to meet quality standards.
  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Performing routine cleaning, oiling, minor repairs, and working with the maintenance team to diagnose/fix mechanical problems.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols to ensure efficient, high-quality output and a safe work environment.
  • Production Management: Accurately complete production logs, coordinating with team members to meet deadlines

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to tolerate seasonally hot and cold work environment
  • Must possess excellent mechanical skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and analyze problems to develop repair techniques
  • Experience working with wide-web high speed press operation (Uteco preferred) is a plus!
