Outside Sales Representative – Industrial Supply (Shreveport, LA)
About the Role
We are hiring an Outside Sales Representative to grow our industrial supply business in the Shreveport and surrounding region. This is a field-based role focused on building relationships with maintenance teams, plant managers, and procurement across manufacturing, repair, and industrial operations.
You’ll be responsible for driving revenue through a mix of account management and new business development, with a strong emphasis on responsiveness, service, and reliability.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and grow an existing book of industrial accounts
- Prospect and develop new customers within your territory
- Conduct regular in-person visits to customer facilities (plants, shops, job sites)
- Identify customer needs across MRO categories (cutting tools, fasteners, motors, pumps, safety supplies, etc.)
- Generate quotes, follow up, and close business
- Coordinate with inside sales and operations to ensure smooth order fulfillment
- Stay highly responsive — many orders are time-sensitive
- Track activity, opportunities, and customer interactions in CRM

What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of outside sales experience (industrial, MRO, or B2B preferred)
- Comfortable in a field-based, hands-on environment
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Self-starter who can manage a territory independently
- Ability to learn and sell a broad range of industrial products
- Willingness to be on the road locally most days
Nice to Have
- Experience in industrial distribution or MRO sales
- Existing relationships with manufacturing or maintenance teams
- Familiarity with plant operations or repair environments
Compensation
- Base salary + uncapped commission
- Mileage reimbursement or vehicle allowance
