Marketing Manager

Summary Description: 

The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive brand growth, product awareness, and revenue within the food manufacturing business. This role oversees product marketing, brand positioning, and go-to-market strategies across key channels including retail, and foodservice.

 MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop and execute annual marketing plans aligned with company objectives; contribute fresh ideas that can enhance brand standing.
  • Manage brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity across all platforms 
  • Analyze and conduct market research & trends, consumer insights, and competitive activity to identify opportunities 
  • Lead innovation launches and product lifecycle management; hands on experience with new products launches, specifically the full innovation process from concept to shelf; in collaboration with sales forecasting and strategic planning.
  • Conducts market research, sales forecasting, and strategic planning to assess and ensure the sale and profitability of products.
  • Conducts pricing research and analysis to ensure competitive product and service pricing.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in the market; identifies needs for new products and services and makes recommendations to leadership.
  • Composes, develops, evaluates, and conducts training on marketing activities, strategies, and policies.
  • Collaborates, participates in, and coordinates promotional activities of trade shows and distributor events both virtually and in-person.
  • Proficiency in developing POS materials and working knowledge of social media strategy are preferred.
  • Initiate conversations regarding marketing concepts to solve organizational challenges 
  • Develops and distributes materials related to sales, training, and marketing; prepare and ship product samples as necessary to support sales team.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with existing and potential clients. 
  • Contribute fresh ideas that can enhance the brand’s standing
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Profiency with social media platforms and digital marketing tools (CANVA).
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for marketing.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Statistics, Business, or related field required.
  • Three to five years of related experience in business, promotional sales, customer service, or related field preferred. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals. Ability to read, comprehend and follow simple instructions. Ability to hear and perceive information at normal spoken word levels. 

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Must have the ability to add, subtract, and multiply as needed. 

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Must have the ability to apply commonsense and understanding when carrying out detailed instructions.  Must have the ability to effectively and efficiently prioritize and organize various tasks.

The position requires manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination to run processing equipment. Normal range of hearing and vision is required. 

 

There is occasional lifting of up to 45-50 pounds. 

 

The position is exposed to machines, chemicals and solvents. Requires working in areas that are not ventilated or air-conditioned.
