Position Overview:
Michael Hayes, a luxury retail store in Newport, RI, is seeking motivated and detail-oriented students from Salve Regina University for a Retail Internship. This role offers hands-on experience in high-end retail, customer service, and brand presentation within a boutique environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service to a luxury clientele
Assist customers with product knowledge, styling, and purchase decisions
Maintain store appearance, including merchandising and visual displays
Support inventory management, including receiving and organizing merchandise
Assist with point-of-sale transactions and packaging purchases
Learn and apply sales techniques aligned with a premium brand experience
Support store events, promotions, and seasonal campaigns
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications:
Current student at Salve Regina University
Strong interest in retail, fashion, or business
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
Availability to work weekends and during peak retail periods
Preferred Skills:
Interest in luxury retail or fashion merchandising
Previous customer service experience (a plus, but not required)
