Production Laborer
Summary: The Production Laborer supports all day-to-day manufacturing operations on the plant floor, with a primary focus on operating roll forming lines used in the production of sheet metal panels. Laborers are required to work on any and all production lines as directed by their supervisor or foreman, and are expected to perform all aspects of roll forming line operation except for the quality fine-tuning performed after a roll change, which is handled by designated personnel.
Essential Duties:
- Perform all standard production tasks across multiple roll-forming lines as directed by the supervisor or foreman.
- Set up, operate, monitor, and maintain roll forming equipment throughout all production stages except final quality tuning after roll changes.
- Rotate between different workstations and lines based on production needs and instructions from leadership.
- Maintain pace and accuracy of production according to schedule, engineering specifications, and safety standards.
- Ensure correct labeling, staging, packaging and documentation of materials and finished products.
- Identify and report non-conforming product or equipment issues to the supervisor or quality assurance personnel.

- Product is manufactured within standard times.
- Product is manufactured according to the production schedule (timing and sequence).
- Product is manufactured within engineering specifications.
- Product is manufactured with the least amount of material and labor required.
- Assures quality standards are met for all work station/cell output:
- Enters and records all required data on paper or line-set computers
- Plays an active role in ensuring all product is of the highest standard
- Adopt and participate in lean manufacturing principles as introduced (5S, etc)
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- College degree (related field) or technical training in manufacturing preferred.
- Prior manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred, especially with roll forming or metal fabrication equipment.
