Pediatric Occupational Therapist
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations using standardized assessments and clinical observations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, ADLs, and self-regulation
- Provide direct therapy services in a clinic setting, using evidence-based and play-based approaches
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to educate, coach, and empower them in supporting their child’s goals
- Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration with other therapists, educators, and medical providers
- Accurately document evaluations, progress notes, daily treatment logs, and discharge summaries in a timely manner
- Participate in team meetings, in-service trainings, and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain compliance with clinic policies, HIPAA regulations, and state/federal therapy practice guidelines
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current and valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Tennessee
- Experience with pediatric populations (early childhood through adolescence)
- New graduates are welcome to apply; mentorship available
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to pass background check and required screenings
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with sensory integration, handwriting programs, feeding therapy, or neurodiverse populations
- Familiarity with electronic documentation systems (EMR)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to evidence-based, child-centered therapy
