SEO and Content Intern

Essential Responsibilities

SEO & Content Intern will help make our website more visible in search engines and will develop content that’s useful to the people searching for our solutions. This role will be responsible for writing, learning about online search behavior, and translating complex technical ideas into clear, readable content.

  • Use tools like SEMrush, SpyFu, and Google Search Console to find keywords and content ideas
  • Write blog posts, page copy, and educational content for our audiences
  • Optimize website titles, meta descriptions, headers, images, and links for better SEO
  • Help update and improve existing pages so they perform better in search results
  • Research what competitors are doing and suggest ways we can stand out
  • Track performance in Google Search Console and Analytics to see what’s working
  • Work with the marketing team on content planning and creative ideas

Required Qualifications

  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Basic understanding of SEO and search engines
  • Interest in B2B marketing, technical products, or content strategy
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Eager to learn, take initiative, and contribute to a team

Education, Experience, and Knowledge

Coursework in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field from an Accredited University.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using SEMrush, SpyFu, or similar tools
  • Familiarity with Google Search Console or Google Analytics
  • Past writing experience for blogs, websites, or newsletters

Working Conditions

This job operates primarily in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move metal detector products and supplies, up to 35 pounds.

Specific vision abilities are required by this position that include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.  

This role does not require travel.
