Focus: Project Coordination, Content Creation, and Technical Onboarding
Position Summary:
We are looking for someone who desires to make a difference in people's lives as a part of the management team of our organization. We have 42 locations in Texas that provide adult education classes, mentoring, and spiritual support for primarily under-resourced families. Our goal is to help them find hope and meaningful employment and to achieve their life goals.
The LMS Support Intern assists the Learning Management System (LMS) team in the "Go-Live" process for local sites and the creation of educational resources. This role provides critical support in transitioning sites from legacy systems (Excel, paper, etc.) to the Learning Management platform. You will help ensure data is clean, configurations are accurate, and users have the "how-to" guides they need to succeed. The position is part-time and can be remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementation Support: Assist the Project Manager in tracking rollout timelines for local site cohorts. Help site admins complete pre-launch tasks, such as organizing information to be uploaded. Uploading information for sites as approved by Team Lead.
- Data Preparation: Support the data migration process by reviewing and formatting legacy Excel/CSV files for import into the new standardized system.
- Content Creation: Help produce high-quality training assets, including short screen-capture videos (e.g., Loom, Zoom).
- Technical Troubleshooting: Act as a first-line support contact during a site’s initial 30-day launch period, documenting issues for the technical team to resolve.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Technical Aptitude: Ability to learn the Learning Management System process for uploading site’s existing curriculum and using the LMS assistive system in creating new curriculum for the state consultant and sites as requested.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate with site leaders to determine their needs for curriculum development and to follow-up with them once the curriculum has been created or uploaded.
- Organization: Strong attention to detail and the ability to track multiple tasks across different stages of a project rollout.
- Creative Interest: Basic experience or a strong interest in video editing, screen recording, educational course creation or document design.
- Mission Alignment: A desire to help sites use the Learning Management System to provide their curriculum through a web-based learning platform that is available in the classroom and for participants to continue learning online outside of the classroom.
