Social Media Intern
From October 2-4, the Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center and other partner groups will be hosting the Upper Peninsula Folklife Festival in Marquette. To promote this event to both students, faculty, staff and the public, we are hiring a Social Media/Public Relations Intern beginning in June of 2026.
This position is design to provide a student at NMU with the opportunity to assist in the advertising and marketing of the Upper Peninsula Folklife Festival. This will include crafting and creating the social media campaign, assist with creating physical media such as flyers, posters and brochures and other marketing tasks as assigned by the Director/Curator of the Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center. The intern will have a chance to learn about the processes of planning and advertising a cultural celebration festival splanning three days. The student will be encouraged to make creative inputs that would help advance the reach of the advertising campaign.
