Lead Information Systems Technologist

Job Location: 601 West Main Street Suite A, Jefferson City, MO

The lead information systems technologist performs varied and highly complex technical activities regarding the automated business needs of department employees. Responsibilities are performed under general supervision.

 

What you'll do:

  • Serve as team leader for the group, providing technical guidance, coordinating work, and supporting a collaborative, high‑performance environment.
  • Apply broad systems expertise, including Windows and Linux server environments, to support reliable, secure, and scalable enterprise solutions.
  • Architect and design application and integration solutions that align with organizational standards, technical best practices, and long‑term business goals.
  • Lead and coordinate implementation of technical projects, ensuring effective planning, communication, risk management, and successful delivery.
  • Manage software licensing portfolios and assess business needs to recommend compliant, cost‑effective, and sustainable technology solutions.

 

All you need for success:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, AND four years of increasingly responsible professional experience in positions related to information systems, OR
  • Associate’s Degree: Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, AND six years of increasingly responsible professional experience in positions related to information systems, OR
  • Eight years of increasingly responsible professional experience in positions related to information systems.

 

Special Working Conditions:

  • Job requires occasional, statewide, overnight travel.
