Program Facilitator
Equity Kids hosts recurring groups and one-time workshops for 4 & 5-year-olds, 3rd-5th graders, and middle schoolers. The Facilitator will co-lead one or all of these groups depending on their qualifications, availability, and program needs. A facilitation guide is provided for each session. Each Facilitator will receive 1 week of training prior to beginning and will be supported by our Program Director throughout the program.
Roles & Duties
- Prepare for groups individually and with co-facilitator
- Set up for groups
- Co-lead hour-long groups
- Complete program records, track attendance, administer evaluations
- Complete a short debrief document after each session
- Communicate with Program Director about group progress
Schedule Commitment
This is a part-time position, and we anticipate a time commitment of 3-5 hours a week for each group you
facilitate.
Knowledge, Skill & Abilities
- Clear, personal alignment with the mission of Equity Kids
- Experience working with children
- Comfortable leading a racially diverse group and discussing racial and social issues
- Familiarity with Google products (preferred)
- Knowledge of social inequity issues
- Ability to prompt sensitive conversations empathetically
