Title: Material Coordinator

Location: Milan, IL 61264
Assignment Length: 12 months + (Possible Extension)
Position Type: Contract / Contingent
Pay Rate: Hourly on w2 

Shift: 2nd Shift, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with the possibility of overtime

Important Note : Manager is specifically looking for recent graduates with a relatable degree or relevant experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, or a related field. Candidates with internship, warehouse, or inventory coordination experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Specific Position Requirements

  • Candidate must have metatarsals on day one
  • Will be on their feet most of the shift

Position Description

  • Will help implement the new SAP/EWM system into PDC
  • This position is the material coordinator for the biggest department on 2nd shift
  • Must direct the activities of pickers to ensure accurate and timely order delivery
  • Utilize warehouse management systems to track picking progress and update order statuses
  • Address issues such as missing items, damaged goods, or system errors promptly to minimize delays
  • Track productivity metrics and report results to supervisors; recommend improvements where needed
  • Will be working in Excel occasionally, but the majority of work will be in mainframe/menu driven systems, DNS (Dealer Network System), and WCS

Critical Skills Required

  • Exceptional data entry speed/accuracy plus ability to stay focused and perform work for long periods of time
  • Self-motivated to help coworkers during lull times
  • Experience with inventory systems/tools/AS400 program extremely beneficial in this role; will be troubleshooting through inventory issues
  • Attention to detail, timeliness, and excellent attendance are key as position is imperative in keeping operation running
  • Strong people skills; the department has approximately 50 employees on 2nd shift who may require support simultaneously

Other Details

  • This position may require driving a Cushman on the shop floor after successfully completing training
  • Will train as backup to cover all duties of position in the department
