Gymnastics Coach
The YMCA of South Florida is seeking to hire individuals with Gymnastics experience. We currently have two positions. One of the positions is under our Family Services Department and the other is under our Sports Department.
Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum of 1 -2 years experience teaching Youth Sports or working with school-aged children as it relates to gymnastics.
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to interact with individuals at all levels.
Must be able to implement curriculums and provide instruction to participants at a basic level.
- State approved CPR/ First Aid/ AED certification must be current, or obtained within 90 days of employment.
- Bilingual, English and Spanish, a plus
Excellent communication skills.
Compensation range is $15-$16 depending on experience and program role.
Family Services-Specialty Skills Camp Counselor-Gymnastics Coach
Under the direction of the Program Director, the Specialty Camp Counselor- Gymnastics Camp Counselor is responsible for the overall operations, program management, and Camp Curriculum. This includes supervising Teen participants ages 12-17, and developing a rapport with their parents, in addition, the individual in this position is responsible for ensuring that the program adheres to the YMCA of South Florida's Risk Management
policies and procedures.
Sports
Under the direction of the Program Director, the Program Coach plans and teaches competitive gymnastics to participants ages 5 through 12. The Program Coach is responsible for developing the fundamental competitive tracks for the compulsory team program. In addition, this individual will act as liaison between the director and the competitive team staff, dispersing group communications.
