At our company, programmers and technicians are expected to be knowledgeable of the latest technology and maintain up-to-date training on current IT trends. Role and Responsibilities
A technician is expected to assist in:
- Providing technical support for computer systems including hardware, software, and networking
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, both on-site and remotely
- Participating in the planning and implementation of new technology projects
- Responding to and resolving incidents/requests in a timely manner
- Installing and configuring computer systems, software, and equipment
- Preforming regular maintenance and upgrades to computer systems and software
- Managing user accounts and permissions, including creating new users and deleting accounts
- Monitoring and maintaining the performance and security of computer systems
- Maintaining an inventory of all computer hardware and software
Additional tasks include:
- Taking detailed reports pertaining to services preformed
- Participating in light office cleaning
- Running short errands as needed
Qualifications and Education Requirements
A high school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED diploma) is required for this position.
Those who are seeking out higher education within the field of information technology or have already obtained a bachelor’s degree in a technology related area are invited to apply.

- Able to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently
- Works well under pressure and tight deadlines
- Knowledgeable of computer hardware, software, and networking systems
- Familiar with Windows and Linux operating systems
