About the Role:
Hemmy Productions is seeking a Market Research Intern to support the development and packaging of a feature film project within the thriller/horror space. This role focuses on analyzing market trends, audience data, and comparable films to help position the project for literary managers, agents, and potential buyers.
This is a hands-on opportunity to learn how films are strategically developed and presented at the professional level, beyond the creative process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on film market trends (thriller, horror, and psychological genres)
- Identify and analyze comparable films (budget, box office, streaming performance)
- Research target audience demographics and viewing behaviors
- Track current industry trends and buyer activity (streaming platforms, studios, etc.)
- Assist in identifying potential talent (actors, directors) aligned with the project
- Contribute to a final market research report and executive summary

Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Business, Marketing, Film, Media Studies, or a related field
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Interest in the entertainment industry, especially film/television
- Ability to synthesize data into clear insights
- Strong written communication skills
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
Preferred (Not Required):
- Familiarity with film industry platforms (IMDbPro, Box Office Mojo, etc.)
- Interest in genre films (thriller, horror, psychological drama)
