E-Commerce Operations & Product Management Intern
Are you a creative, motivated student looking to gain real-world experience managing social media for an educational brand?
We’re looking for an E-Commerce Intern to lead a project in data entry creating spreadsheet with product information, listings with SEO, tagging, product organization, must be extremely detail oriented and eager to learn, learn practical skills in digital marketing and e-commerce. This is an unpaid internship offered exclusively for academic credit; interns must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and registered for a credit or zero-credit internship/practicum experience.
Internship Structure & Time Commitment
- Approximately 20 hours per week (flexible based on academic needs)
- Flexible scheduling aligned with the student’s academic calendar
- Fully remote and can be asynchronous, with scheduled mentorship check-ins
- Internship dates are flexible; start and end dates are determined in coordination with the intern
This internship complements academic coursework and is intended to provide practical experience related to the student’s field of study.
What You Can Learn & Do
The responsibilities listed below are examples of projects you may explore during your internship. Specific tasks and focus areas will be discussed and tailored to align with your interests, strengths, and academic goals.
E-Commerce Operations & Product Listings
- Create and format product listings in WooCommerce using provided assets
- Organize product data (titles, descriptions, categories, tags, variations)
- Apply basic SEO principles to improve product visibility
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality across listings
- Assist with bulk uploads and spreadsheet-based product management
Digital Merchandising
- Learn best practices for presenting products effectively online
- Support categorization and navigation structure within the store
- Review and optimize existing listings for clarity and usability
Professional Skills
- Develop strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Gain hands-on experience with e-commerce platforms and workflows
- Receive structured feedback throughout the project
- Build practical experience that can be applied to future roles in e-commerce, operations, or digital marketing
Mentorship & Supervision
Interns will receive:
- Ongoing supervision and mentorship from the founder
- Constructive written and verbal feedback
- Guidance on professional communication and content development
- Opportunities for reflection connecting internship tasks to academic learning objectives
- The internship environment is collaborative and designed to encourage questions, experimentation, and skill development.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled college or university student
- Eligible to receive academic credit for the internship
- Strong written communication skills
- Interest in education and entrepreneurship
- Organized, proactive, and open to feedback
- Familiarity with spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets, etc.) strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Woocommerce and Wordpress preferred
- Familiarity with Google Workspace preferred
- Prior experience is preferred but not required
- Personal projects/volunteer experiences are considered valuable experience!
