Personnel Coordinator - Strategic Staffing
The position of Personnel Coordinator will be available for the 2026-2027 school year at East Central ISD. All individuals (district employees included) who are interested in this position must apply online through Frontline via the district website. Primary Purpose: Coordinate the planning, organization, and monitoring of day-to-day personnel functions while supporting the development and implementation of a strategic staffing plan focused on recruitment, retention, and long-term sustainability. Facilitate collaborative partnerships with colleges, universities, and alternative certification programs to strengthen talent pipelines and workforce outcomes.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and support recruitment activities, including sourcing candidates, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, attending job fairs, and leveraging platforms such as Handshake and other recruitment channels
- Coordinate the development, implementation, and monitoring of a strategic staffing plan, including Paid Residency, Grow Your Own, and mentorship initiatives
- Collaborate with the Personnel Director on Leading the EC Way initiatives (ie. vacancy planning, selection, etc. )
- Facilitate and maintain standardized district protocols for recruitment, screening, interviewing, hiring, and retention across campuses and departments
- Support the collection of staffing data and assist in analyzing workforce needs to inform strategic staffing decisions in collaboration with campus and district leadership
- Support the administration and coordination of the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) and Strategic Compensation processes
- Coordinate responses to employee complaints and grievances; support hearing processes and ensure timely follow-up and documentation
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws; monitor policy updates and coordinate dissemination of legal and ethical guidance
- Coordinate the administration and maintenance of personnel systems, including Handshake, Eduphoria (Strive), and support Frontline, DPS, Image Silo, and Ascender
- Coordinate and manage the placement process for clinical teachers, residents, and pre-clinical experience in collaboration with colleges, universities, and alternative certification programs
- Serve as a primary liaison to colleges, universities, and certification partners to build and sustain mutually beneficial partnerships that support recruitment and workforce development
- Support verification of employee service records and collaborate with Payroll to ensure accurate reporting
- Coordinate the development, delivery, and ongoing support of orientation and engagement activities for university pre service experiences
- Support the development and coordination of professional learning and guidance for personnel staff; provide coaching and resources as appropriate
- Research, compile, and analyze data to develop reports and presentations, including materials for School Board meetings
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all personnel records and sensitive information
- Participate in committees and cross-functional teams as assigned
- Ensure adherence to district safety protocols and emergency procedures

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certificate:
Bachelor's degree, Master's degree required
Texas Administrator Certificate required
Special Knowledge and Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong computer skills and organizational skills
Attention to detail
Experience:
Three years of campus administrative experience preferred
East Central Independent School District experience preferred
