IT Help Desk Intern

The Opportunity 

Fortitude Family Office is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated IT Help Desk intern to support our team. This role offers hands-on exposure to the technology and systems that power a wealth management firm, with the chance to collaborate across every part of the business. 

About the Program 

Our Intern Program is a structured, multi-cycle experience designed to develop the next generation of wealth management operations professionals. As an IT Help Desk intern, you'll work alongside firm staff to keep day-to-day technology running smoothly, building real-world skills in a professional financial services environment.

Expectations 

  • Serve as a first point of contact for staff technology issues, including hardware, software, printers, and connectivity 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve end-user issues in a timely and professional manner, escalating when appropriate 
  • Assist with new employee setup, including workstation configuration, account provisioning, and equipment orientation 
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and equipment inventory 
  • Support routine system maintenance tasks such as updates, backups, and access reviews 
  • Participate in weekly group and individual check-ins with the program manager 
  • Engage in monthly senior-level guidance sessions and bi-weekly mentor meetings 

The Qualifications 

  • Self-starter who takes ownership of their work and sees tasks through to completion 
  • Ability to thrive in a small-team environment with varied and sometimes urgent responsibilities 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Windows-based environments 
  • Comfortable working with non-technical staff and explaining solutions in plain language 
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in information technology, information systems, or a related field 
  • Strong communication skills and a patient, service-first mindset
