Baltimore County Arts Guild Arts Administration Intern Job Description 2026

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Assists with administrative tasks, programming, and events coordination at the Catonsville Clubhouse and Gallery 1101*.

 

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Works under the guidance of the Executive Director and Program Events Manager.

 

The Baltimore County Arts Guild is a 501c3 organization with a mission to support artists and musicians and provide access to the creative experience. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide administrative support, including data entry, filing, and organizing documents.
  • Assist the Executive Director and Program Manager in planning and executing arts programs and events.
  • Aid in outreach efforts to promote programs and events through social media, email newsletters, and other channels.
  • Provides logistical support for the Executive Director and Program and Events Manager, including setup and breakdown.
  • Conduct research on potential funding opportunities, partnerships, and grant opportunities.
  • Assist with donor stewardship activities, including drafting thank-you letters and updating donor databases.
  • Collaborate with BCAG members on special projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Provides personal assistance to organization leaders, such as managing calendars, scheduling meetings, updating websites, and coordinating arrangements.
  • Attend training sessions to gain insight into non-profit management and arts administration, including communication, social media, and community relations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently enrolled in a university program, preferably in arts administration, nonprofit management, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with social media platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for the arts and a commitment to supporting the mission of our organization.

This is a part-time job with 10-15 hours per week with a stipend of $300 per month. 

 

Catonsville Clubhouse is located at 10 St. Timothys Lane, Catonsville. Gallery 1101 is located at 1101 Maiden Choice Lane, Arbutus. These locations are 5 minutes from UMBC Campus and 8 minutes between locations.
