SEO Intern
Scharly Designer Studio is an architecture and design practice operating across residential, public, and commercial verticals from our studios in New York and Miami. Our work is defined by sensory material systems, parametric geometric design, and IP-protected processes — built for clients who understand that environment shapes experience.
Our collaborators have included Dior, Estée Lauder, Coca-Cola, L'Oréal, and French governmental institutions. We are a small, ambitious team. Everyone who joins us contributes meaningfully.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a sharp, curious SEO Intern to support the studio's digital growth and search visibility. This is a hands-on opportunity to build expertise at the intersection of architecture, luxury design, and digital strategy — a rare combination with real market depth.
You will work closely with the studio principal and marketing lead to research keywords, optimize content, analyze performance, and develop a coherent organic presence across our practice verticals and target markets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct keyword research across architecture, interior design, luxury hospitality, and commercial real estate verticals
- Audit and optimize existing web pages, project pages, and studio content for on-page SEO
- Develop and maintain a content calendar aligned with studio positioning and search intent
- Write and edit SEO-driven blog posts, project descriptions, and landing page copy in the studio's voice
- Track rankings, traffic, and engagement using Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Semrush or equivalent tools
- Build backlink research reports and identify outreach opportunities within design press, architecture publications, and industry directories
- Support local SEO efforts for New York and Miami studio presences
- Collaborate on WordPress content publishing workflows and on-site technical optimization
- Produce regular performance reports and present insights clearly to the team
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Marketing, Communications, Architecture, Design, or a related field
- Foundational understanding of SEO principles — on-page, off-page, and technical
- Familiarity with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and at least one keyword research tool (Semrush, Ahrefs, Moz, or similar)
- Strong written English with an instinct for clear, elegant copy — an eye for design language is a genuine advantage
- Comfort working within WordPress CMS
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects without close supervision
- Interest in architecture, luxury design, or the built environment is a significant plus
- French language skills are a welcome bonus, not a requirement
