Environmental and Energy Specialist
As an Environmental & Energy Specialist, you’ll play a key role in helping our Bloomfield factory and associated clay mine operate responsibly and sustainably. You’ll lead site-level environmental and energy programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and champion continuous improvement efforts that support Nestlé Purina’s Net Zero by 2050 commitment. Working closely with factory leadership, divisional partners, and external experts, you’ll turn environmental strategy into meaningful, measurable action.
- Lead the factory’s environmental and energy programs, ensuring compliance through effective monitoring, analysis, reporting, and permit management
- Maintain and continuously improve the site’s ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, supporting audits and long-term performance excellence
- Manage environmental permitting and regulatory reporting for air, water, wastewater, stormwater, and waste requirements
- Oversee waste management programs in alignment with Zero Waste to Landfill goals, including vendor oversight and contract administration
- Analyze energy, water, and waste data to identify opportunities that reduce environmental impact while increasing operational efficiency
- Develop, justify, and oversee capital projects that advance environmental compliance and progress toward Net Zero by 2050
- Partner with factory teams and divisional Environmental & Energy leaders to align on priorities, share best practices, and drive sustainable results
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or related discipline
- 2+ years of experience leading environmental and energy programs in a manufacturing, consulting, industrial, military or related environment
The approximate pay range for this position is $77,000 - $103,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
