Freelance Student Journalist

Campus Reform – Freelance Student Journalist (Paid)
Leadership Institute | Remote / Nationwide

Campus Reform is seeking motivated college students to join our team as paid student journalists, reporting on issues impacting higher education and campus culture nationwide. This role offers hands-on experience in investigative journalism, media, and public discourse while building a professional portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and report on campus and national higher education issues
  • Analyze institutional policies, legal developments, and cultural trends
  • Pitch story ideas and contribute original written content
  • Conduct interviews and develop investigative pieces
  • Collaborate with editors to produce clear, well-structured, publishable articles

Opportunities:

Additional Pathway: Investigator Role

  • Submit tips and story leads (no writing required)

Qualifications:

  • U.S. citizen currently enrolled in an accredited United States higher education institution
  • Strong interest in journalism, media, public policy, or legal issues
  • Background or coursework in Journalism, government, or political science is a plus
  • Ability to think critically, research thoroughly, and communicate effectively in writing
