Business Development Intern

Business Development Intern Job Description

 

Objective: Our company is looking to grow in North Dakota/Western Minnesota Market and is looking for a Business Development Intern to help contribute to the company’s sales and market growth strategies through research, analysis and supporting sales initiatives.

 

  • Generate, filter, solicit and target ideal customers 
  • Identify and segment prospects based on key research
  • Assist with outbound sales preparations
  • Support Sales Team 

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead generation- Conduct research on potential clients and identify key decision makers
  • Analyze data from lead generation to identify new business opportunities
  • Support outreach efforts via phone, e-mail and in-person meetings
  • Update and maintain progress in pipeline
  • Work with existing sales team to evolve the existing sales strategy for the market

 

Requirements and skills 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

 

About/ Learning Outcomes

  • This position will be Hybrid, both remote and in-person meetings with potential customers and leads
  • Gain hands-on experience in business development and strategic planning
  • Understand the dynamics of market research and sales pipelines
  • Pay Range is between ($20-$25/ HR)
  • Part-Time- Approximately 10-24 hours per week, flexible scheduling 
  • Internship Duration: Spring Semester (flexibility for extended/future employment)
