2026 Summer Camp Team Member

Join our FUN Blended Summer Camp Team as a Camp Team Member for Summer 2026! This exciting role offers the opportunity to inspire, educate and entertain children of ALL abilities - neurotypical & neurodiverse (ages 5-10). As a key part of our camp community, you will foster a safe, inclusive and engaging atmosphere where young campers can thrive, learn new skills and create unforgettable memories. This paid position is perfect for energetic individuals passionate about working with children and making a positive impact during the summer months.

Camp will run June 1 - July 24

Hours - 8am to 1pm daily, Monday - Friday

Responsibilities

  • Work along side co-camp counselor to lead and supervise campers during daily activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times
  • Create and facilitate a variety of camp programs including sensory play, arts & crafts, games and more!
  • Implement and promote respectful and inclusive interactions among campers
  • Provide first aid and respond promptly to any health or safety incidents
  • Support all campers to ensure an inclusive experience
  • Collaborate with fellow staff to plan, organize, and execute camp events that foster teamwork and fun

Skills

  • Proven experience in classroom management, childcare or camp settings
  • Experience will children of varying abilities is preferred
  • Knowledge of first aid and CPR procedures and certifications preferred
  • Background in special education, early childhood education, Therapeutic Recreation, Speech Therapy, ABA or childhood development (and similar) is advantageous
  • Strong teaching abilities with the capacity to work effectively with children and students of diverse backgrounds
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents and team members
  • Ability and experience managing behavior constructively and create a positive environment for all campers
  • Experience in coaching, babysitting, arts or other hands-on camp-type experience is a plus for enriching camp activities
