The Ursuline School is a private, independent, Catholic, college preparatory girls’ school serving grades 6–12 in New Rochelle, located just 20 miles north of Manhattan in a diverse suburban community. Position Overview
The Ursuline School seeks a dynamic and faith-filled Campus Minister to serve students in grades 7–12. The ideal candidate will foster the spiritual development of students, animate the Catholic identity of the school, and create meaningful opportunities for prayer, service, and community engagement. This individual is a collaborative leader who accompanies young people in their faith journeys and helps cultivate a vibrant, inclusive campus ministry program.
Start Date: 9/1/2026
Position: Full-time; Middle/High School (7 - 12)
Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 commensurate with background and experience
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead school liturgies, prayer services, and retreats for middle and high school students
- Coordinate and promote service and social justice initiatives aligned with Catholic teachings
- Provide pastoral care and spiritual guidance to students
- Collaborate with faculty and administration to integrate faith formation into school life
- Support and mentor student leadership in campus ministry programs and activities
- Organize opportunities for sacramental participation and faith-based experiences
- Engage families and the broader school community in spiritual life initiatives
- Participate fully in school life, including meetings, committees, and student activities
- Contribute positively to faculty collaboration and school initiatives
- Engage in ongoing professional development in theology, ministry, and youth formation
Qualifications
- Practicing Catholic committed to the mission of Catholic education
- Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Pastoral Ministry, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Experience in campus ministry, youth ministry, or pastoral leadership preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage and inspire adolescents in their faith development
