Compensation: Hourly $25.00 to $30.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

Overview

We are seeking a highly creative Social Media Marketing Intern for an 8-week contract (estimated 20 hours per week) to help launch a robust social media presence for a well-established career coaching and resume writing LLC, operating since 2010. This role is ideal for current graduate students pursuing a Master’s in Digital Marketing who enjoy strategic collaboration and marketing data analysis.

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop a comprehensive social media marketing plan aligned with brand goals.
  • Establish marketing strategies for each client demographic
  • Review of Elizabeth Kilbourne Career Strategies competition for the various platforms

 

Analytics & Performance Tracking

  • Establish baseline metrics across all platforms, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn

 

Content Creation & Editing Training

• Create repeatable recording and editing workflows

• Train principal on best practices for captions, hooks, hashtags, and posting formats

 

Documentation & Handoff

• Create simple guides, templates, and checklists for continued use after the contract

• Ensure the client is confident operating independently at the end of the engagement

 

Location100% remote with a minimum of 2 hrs weekly collaborating and reporting to principal during business hours. 

Experience & Skills You Need

• Ability to teach and explain technical concepts clearly to non-experts

  • SEO optimization skills
  • Conversation optimization skills
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

 

Preferred Experience

  • Hands-on experience with video editing and short-form content creation
