Job Title: Financial Analyst – Power BI, DAX & SQL Specialist Location: Beltsville, MD (on-site) Department: Finance Reports To: CFO Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst with strong technical expertise in Power BI, DAX, and SQL to join our finance team for a paid internship assignment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in transforming financial data into actionable insights, supporting strategic decision-making, and enhancing reporting capabilities across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to visualize financial and operational performance.
• Write and optimize DAX formulas to create calculated columns, measures, and KPIs.
• Use SQL to extract, transform, and analyze data from various databases and data warehouses.
• Support data testing in new ERP System.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver customized financial reports.
• Perform financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis to support budgeting and strategic planning.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reporting platforms.
• Automate recurring reports and streamline data workflows to improve efficiency.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management in a clear and concise manner.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree candidate in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Power BI, including report design, data modeling, and DAX.
• Basic understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
• Command of SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.
• Experience with Power Query, Excel VBA, or other data transformation tools.
• Basic understanding of Accounting a plus.
