Safety Coordinator

This position will help to drive safety on the plant production floor. The goal is to create a safety culture by the use of training, educating, using safe practices, procedures and observing safe behaviors. The ideal candidate will be bi-lingual in Spanish and be able to train and have flexible work hours to cover off shifts.

This position will be responsible for observing the use of at-risk behaviors on the plant production floor. Training employees on safe practice, procedures and job function; help to update Job Safety Analysis for each position, help to conduct risk Assessment on equipment and reviewing Lockout Procedures.

This position will be conducting environment/ condition audits. Helping in monthly safety training and safety orientation; and to monitor compliance to polices, standards and procedures. This position will be expected to help with conducting daily behavior safety observations. Other procedure like SDS, confined space, etc.

Must be able to work in environments that are hot and cold. Must be able to flex work schedule at times after 3:00 pm for 2nd and 3rd shift and some weekend.
