Project Engineer

What You’ll Do
As a Project Engineer at THK, you’ll play a key role in developing, coordinating, and executing a variety of manufacturing projects. This role is both technical and collaborative, offering opportunities to grow your skills while directly contributing to THK’s success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Development: Design, develop, and test mechanical components, equipment, and systems used in industrial machinery.
  • Manufacturing Support: Prepare Manufacturing Orders (MOs) in support of the scheduling department; ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze workflows and spatial utilization to identify efficiency improvements and support process innovation.
  • Planning & Reporting: Set project timelines, monitor progress, and report updates to upper management. Help prepare detailed engineering project proposals.
  • Troubleshooting: Proactively solve problems and contribute to both short- and long-term business goals.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with engineering, scheduling, and purchasing teams to ensure project alignment and timely material availability.
  • Communication: Participate in meetings with contractors and internal stakeholders; support project management activities.
  • Inventory & Materials Management: Issue Bills of Materials (BOMs), confirm material availability, and visually verify inventory on the production floor when needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a hands-on setting
  • Basic understanding of engineering principles and scheduling practices
  • Eagerness to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
