Purchasing Intern
Sofidel America, a subsidiary of the Sofidel Group, is a leading manufacturer of tissue paper for hygienic and domestic use. We are committed to sustainable growth, operational excellence, and strict adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
We are currently seeking a Purchasing Intern to support our purchasing team with a focus on vendor selection, request for quotation processes, and commercial negotiations. This role provides hands on exposure to strategic purchasing rather than traditional supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in preparing and issuing requests for quotation to suppliers
- Support the evaluation and comparison of vendor proposals, pricing, and terms
- Participate in vendor selection processes and supplier onboarding activities
- Assist with negotiation preparation, including cost analysis and benchmarking
- Support contract documentation and ensure accuracy of commercial terms
- Maintain and update vendor records and purchasing documentation
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and specifications
- Assist the team with reporting, data analysis, and administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- Sophomore, junior, or senior standing preferred
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple priorities
Schedule:
- Full time internship during the summer months
- Monday through Friday, standard business hours
