Content Creator Intern | Social Media & Behind-the-Scenes
About Us
Coleman Johns is a modern real estate, marketing, and media brand based in Nashville, founded in 2022. We operate The Coleman Johns Group, a top-producing real estate team specializing in luxury properties, and Coleman Johns Studio, our in-house creative team producing cinematic, story-driven content.
Our YouTube channels reach hundreds of thousands of viewers and directly drive real estate transactions. We're building out a full creative department and looking for hungry, social-native interns to join us for the summer.
The Role
You're the person with your phone out when everyone else is focused on the meeting.
We need someone who sees a moment and instinctively knows it's content. The founders walking a $3M listing? You're capturing that from an angle that feels raw and real. The team celebrating a closing? You've already got the Story posted before anyone asks. A trending audio blowing up on Reels? You've already shot something to it by lunch.
This isn't a "go get coffee and observe" internship. You'll be embedded with our creative team and founders, capturing the behind-the-scenes of a fast-growing luxury real estate brand and turning it into content that actually performs on social. You'll work alongside our Creative Director and production team, but your lane is the fast, raw, social-first content that lives on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
If you're the person your friends already come to for content advice, this is your chance to do it professionally with high-end subject matter and a team that takes content seriously as a business driver.
What You'll Do
- Capture daily behind-the-scenes content of our founders, property tours, team moments, and business milestones using your phone
- Create and post Instagram Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts with native understanding of what performs on each platform
- Stay on top of trending audio, formats, and social trends and bring ideas to the team daily
- Assist on professional shoots by capturing BTS content while the production team handles the polished footage
- Help manage posting schedules and engage with comments and community on social platforms
- Collaborate with the Creative Director on social content strategy and brand consistency
- Pitch content ideas — you'll have a voice in what we create, not just how we capture it
You Should Have
- A personal social media presence or portfolio that shows you understand short-form content — we want to see what you've made, even if it's just your own accounts
- Strong iPhone video and photo skills — you know how to frame, light, and capture in the moment without a full production setup
- Fluency in Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts — not just as a consumer but as a creator
- Basic editing skills in CapCut, InShot, or similar mobile editing tools
- An eye for moments — you notice the candid, authentic content that audiences connect with
- Comfort being in fast-moving, high-energy environments around luxury properties and clients
- Reliability and professionalism — you'll be around high-end homes and high-profile situations
- A car and ability to travel to shoots and properties around the Nashville area
Nice to Have
- Experience with Canva for social graphics and Stories
- Understanding of social media analytics
- Photography skills
- Interest in real estate, luxury lifestyle, or entrepreneurial content
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a film, media, marketing, or communications program
What We Offer
- Real work, not busy work — your content goes live on accounts with real audiences

- A front-row seat to how a modern real estate media brand operates
- Portfolio-building content you'll actually be proud to show future employers
- Exposure to luxury real estate, professional video production, and brand strategy
