You won’t be editing into the void. You’ll be editing content that reaches real audiences and directly fuels how this company grows.

What You’ll Do

• Take long form content (YouTube videos, streams, podcasts, talking head footage) and cut it into high-retention short form clips for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
• Identify the most shareable, scroll-stopping moments yourself with no shot lists and no handholding
• Add captions, headlines, graphics, SFX, and pacing edits that maximize watch time and engagement
• Stay ahead of short form trends and bring format ideas proactively including hooks, text placements, transitions, and audio trends
• Deliver consistent output on a regular cadence as part of a growing media team

This Was Made for You If…

• You already edit short form clips on your own time , for your own pages, for fun, or for others. This isn’t a skill you’re trying to learn, it’s what you do.
• You find the clip without being told. You know where the gold is in long form footage , no direction needed.
• Retention keeps you up at night. You know exactly why a clip dies in the first 2 seconds and it genuinely bothers you.
• You have strong opinions on captions , font, weight, size, placement, color, animation , and you cringe when others get it wrong.
• You live on the platforms. You see trends forming before they peak and you already know how to use them.
• SFX is non-negotiable. A clip without the right sound design physically bothers you. You add it without being asked.
