Job Summary


The Inside Sales Representative drives revenue growth by actively engaging existing customers and warm leads. This role focuses on follow-up, account reactivation, upselling, cross-selling, and lead generation to increase order frequency and average order value while supporting broader business development efforts.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively reach out to existing customers and warm prospects to generate sales 
  • Follow up on past orders, inbound leads, and inactive accounts to close opportunities 
  • Convert inbound inquiries (trade shows, website, email campaigns, and outreach) into sales opportunities 
  • Conduct outbound prospecting to identify new customers, channel partners, and business opportunities 
  • Qualify leads and schedule meetings or handoffs for senior sales team members 
  • Promote current products, programs, and sales initiatives 
  • Manage and maintain an organized sales pipeline 
  • Maintain accurate activity and customer records in CRM or tracking systems 
  • Research target accounts, competitors, and market opportunities 
  • Support light account management and ongoing customer follow-up 
  • Partner with Sales Management and Customer Care to support account growth 
  • Meet or exceed sales goals and activity targets 

 

Administrative / Reporting

  • Prepare weekly updates on marketplace activity, lead generation progress, and sales support efforts 
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach, pipeline activity, commissions, and performance metrics 

 

Qualifications

  • Inside sales, lead generation, business development, or sales support experience preferred 
  • Strong follow-up and closing skills 
  • Confident and persuasive communication via phone and email 
  • Results-driven with the ability to manage multiple opportunities 
  • Highly organized, initiative-taking, and able to work independently 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/CRM systems a plus 

 

Performance Expectations

  • Consistent outbound sales and prospecting activity 
  • Strong conversion of inbound leads to orders 
  • Growth in lead generation, account reactivation, and repeat business 
  • Accurate and timely reporting of sales activity and performance metrics
