Student Office Assistant
The Marshall Artists Series is seeking a motivated and adaptable student to join our team as a Student Office Assistant. This position offers hands-on experience in arts administration, marketing, and event support while providing professional services to Marshall University students, clients, and community members.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Provide professional customer service to students, clients, and visitors
● Assist with box office operations, including ticketing and patron support
● Support educational outreach initiatives and program coordination
● Contribute to marketing and public relations efforts, including content creation
● Perform general and advanced office tasks such as:
○ Mail merges and form development
○ Creating and organizing mailings
○ Project coordination, including timeline development and tracking
○ Digital file management (scanning, faxing, database updates)
● Serve as a liaison between the office and the public
● Occasional evening hours required for events

● Strong writing and communication skills
● Experience creating content for social media platforms

● Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
● Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.)
● Above-average database and data management skills
● Working knowledge of cloud-based tools and collaborative platforms
● Understanding of organizational systems (i.e., filing, data entry)
Position Details
● Pay: $12.50/hour
● Hours: Approximately 20 to 30 hours per week
● Training: Paid, on-the-job training provided
