A fast-growing, remote-first technology company is building the next generation of web content infrastructure and is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to help define and scale a modern, real-time platform. This is a high-impact, zero-to-one opportunity where you’ll shape architecture, influence product direction, and build systems used by developers and content teams at scale.

Role:

πŸš€ Design and own the architecture of a real-time, collaborative web platform

🧩 Build scalable backend services (APIs, sync systems, cloud infrastructure)

🎨 Develop modern frontend systems for real-time editing and publishing workflows

πŸ”— Define integration layers including APIs, webhooks, and extensibility models

βš™οΈ Drive technical decisions balancing scalability, performance, and usability

🀝 Collaborate closely with product, design, and cross-functional teams

πŸ“ˆ Mentor engineers and set high standards for code quality and architecture

🧠 Contribute to UX and system design for complex, stateful applications

Requirements:

πŸŽ“ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

πŸ’Ό 10+ years of full-stack software engineering experience

🌐 Strong experience building distributed systems and cloud-native applications

⚑ Expertise in both backend (APIs, services) and frontend (modern UI frameworks)

πŸ”„ Experience with real-time or collaborative systems (live sync, event-driven apps)

☁️ Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar)

πŸ”Œ Deep understanding of API design (REST, GraphQL, event-driven architectures)

🧩 Strong knowledge of frontend architecture, state management, and performance
