Discovery Biology Intern

Intern – Discovery Biology  

We are seeking a motivated intern to support cell biology on the SGN01 program and support research efforts within the Discovery Biology group. This internship offers hands-on experience in experimental design, assay development, and data analysis within a collaborative drug discovery environment.  

Key Responsibilities:  

Cell Biology Support on SGN01 program:  

  • Assist with routine maintenance of cell lines using aseptic techniques 
  • Contribute to the execution of HTRF assays to evaluate target protein degradation in response to inhibitors and degraders 
  • Perform viability assays to determine if compounds of interest result in cell killing
  • Provide support for optimization and setup of Jess assays 

Data analysis and Communication:  

  • Perform experimental data analysis under guidance 
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the presentation and discussion of experimental results  

Learning Opportunities: 

  • Gain practical wet-lab skills in cell culture, molecular biology and cell biology assays 
  • Learn to process and handle both primary and immortalized cell lines 
  • Build experience in experimental design and scientific communication
