You will have responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • On Site daily
  • Supervises LPNs
  • Maintains emergency medical kit at each location
  • Develop and implement a plan to have staff and patients, where appropriate, trained in the prescribed in the use of Narcan kit
  • Support patients in the (self) administration of medication
  • Documentation of (self) administration of medication
  • Performs TB and Drug screenings on all patients within 72 hours of admissions
  • Performs routine urine drug screens as directed by the treatment/recovery plan
  • Monitors and records vital signs

REQUIRED EDUCATION

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Current NYS license
  • Current certification in CPR, Child Abuse and Infection Control

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • At least three years related experience
  • Qualified by training, education, and experience in providing nursing care for chemically addicted patients and patients withdrawing from alcohol and or drugs

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This job operates in an indoor medical clinical environment. This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. Appropriate gloves required.
