We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Assistant Teacher to inspire and guide young learners in a vibrant culinary environment. As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a nurturing, inclusive kitchen that promotes teamwork, confidence and time management. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of provided recipes in an engaging, energetic atmosphere. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives through innovative culinary teaching strategies and collaborative teamwork. Our hours are unique providing flexibility to your week. This position has potential for more hours as well.

Duties

  • Lead 12 students through recipes (following the teaching plan)
  • Collaborate with lead teacher to ensure students receive a hands-on experience
  • Manage behaviors if they arise in a respectful manner
  • Maintain a clean kitchen and follow ServSafe practices
  • Engage with families to explain culinary skills taught during class
  • Must be available Tues- Saturday

Experience

  • Proven classroom experience working with young children in early childhood education settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools.
  • Culinary knowledge via hands-on experience OR professional training
