Operations & Logistics Intern (Media)

The Operations & Logistics Intern supports production and delivery workflows by assisting with scheduling, resource coordination, crew logistics, and client-facing delivery pipelines. This role plays an essential part in ensuring smooth operational processes across production, post-production, and distribution activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assists with production scheduling, coordinating timelines, availability, and project milestones to support efficient planning across multiple productions.
  • Supports resource coordination, helping manage equipment bookings, studio usage, and internal production resources.
  • Helps arrange and track studio and crew logistics, including crew schedules, call sheets, shoot coordination, and operational requirements.
  • Assists in managing client delivery pipelines, preparing and organising assets for delivery to broadcasters, distributors, and digital platforms.
  • Maintains documentation related to schedules, resource allocation, production requirements, and delivery records.
  • Communicates with internal teams—production, post-production, operations, and distribution—to ensure smooth handovers and alignment across workflows.
  • Supports troubleshooting of operational issues, helping identify improvements to workflow efficiency.
  • Helps maintain organised tracking tools, calendars, spreadsheets, and asset logs to ensure information is accurate and up to date.

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS

On-site Supervision and Support

Our internships include 24/7 on-site staff to support students working and living abroad. All students will also report to a supervisor at their internship site. Supervisors provide and oversee daily tasks, introduce the intern to team members, and mentor the intern in organizational agility, skill acquisition, and career readiness. Interns complete a midpoint and final evaluation, and supervisors complete a final evaluation of their interns. All work responsibilities and projects are approved in advance. 

Academic Credit

Students on an internship have the opportunity to enroll in their home university for credit, or enroll in a course through API to transfer back to their university for credit. Email support-internships@apiexperience.com for more information and a syllabus.

Housing and Excursions

Housing and excursions are included in your internship and will be selectable during the application process.
