Embedded Systems Engineer Intern

What You’ll Do

As part of our team, you will:

  • Develop and Innovate
    • Assist in the design, development, and support of embedded systems for aviation electronics.
    • Create prototypes by designing PCBs using DipTrace and developing software through the STM32CubeIDE (based on Eclipse).
    • Research and implement measurement techniques and software algorithms to enhance product capabilities.
  • Support
    • Debug and assist in troubleshooting of hardware and software developed in-house.
    • Provide technical assistance for on-aircraft installations and collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of CiES developed embedded systems.
  • Collaborate and Improve
    • Work closely with mechanical engineers and production teams to create feasible and innovative products.
    • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and enhance existing embedded systems infrastructure.

What We’re Looking For

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 1+ year of education towards a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, software engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with C/C++ embedded software development.
  • Proficiency with Arduino
  • Knowledge of embedded communication protocols: I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, RS485, etc.
  • Experience designing circuits and familiarity with PCB design tools is encouraged.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Familiarity with rapid application development tools such as Lazarus or QtCreator.
  • Experience debugging software with Eclipse IDE.
  • Proficiency in writing technical documentation and reports.
