Lawly is an early-stage startup building a marketplace for law school admissions consulting. As part of our Operations & Strategy team, you'll handle critical backend functions that keep the business running and growing: conducting market expansion research, reviewing consultant applications, tracking metrics, onboarding users, building community, conducting functional testing, and resolving disputes.
This is a management consultant type role. You'll approve/reject real consultant applications, conduct market research, work with the development and marketing team to expand operations, handle live user disputes, and present strategic recommendations directly to the founder. We need detail-oriented, analytical self-starters who can work independently and handle real responsibility.
Note: Weekly supervisor meetings are preferably scheduled on weekends to accommodate flexible work schedules.
Duties:
- Research adjacent markets (MBA, medical school); analyze competitors and identify gaps
- Break down user journeys in new verticals; propose marketplace adaptations
- Present strategic findings and recommendations directly to founder
- Review consultant applications; coordinate payouts; maintain CRM database
- Track metrics and create dashboard reports; manage bug tracking and referral programs
- Respond to inquiries; conduct onboarding calls and provide training
- Build/moderate community; resolve disputes; create help documentation
- Some functional testing of the platform in early days of internship
Qualifications:
- Analytical with strong research/synthesis skills; comfortable with ambiguity
- Strong Excel/Sheets skills; extremely detail-oriented
- Strong communication skills
- Self-starter who works independently; interest in startups
For this internship, what level of experience is needed?
No prior professional experience required, but some working experience preferred.
