As a Journalism Intern, you will work closely with the Marketing Manager and journalists, gaining valuable insight into both journalism and marketing within a dynamic publishing environment.

You will play an active role in managing and improving content across both the website and print magazine. Creativity, initiative, and fresh ideas are encouraged, and your contributions will be welcomed and discussed within the team.

Key Responsibilities

Editorial & Writing:
Write articles for blogs, the magazine, and the website
Research and develop story ideas relevant to arts, culture, and lifestyle
Assist with fact-checking, proofreading, and editing content

Interviews & Reviews:
Manage and support interviews with contributors, artists, and industry professionals
Assist in writing and editing reviews and feature pieces

Content Management:
Help manage and improve website and magazine content
Ensure content aligns with editorial standards and brand tone

PR & Marketing Support:
Assist in preparing PR campaigns
Create content for marketing campaigns and digital promotion
Support cross-functional collaboration between editorial and marketing

Events & Administration:
Assist with internal events (launches, team building, networking events, etc.)
Support managers with daily administrative tasks

On-site Supervision and Support

Our internships include 24/7 on-site staff to support students working and living abroad. All students will also report to a supervisor at their internship site. Supervisors provide and oversee daily tasks, introduce the intern to team members, and mentor the intern in organizational agility, skill acquisition, and career readiness. Interns complete a midpoint and final evaluation, and supervisors complete a final evaluation of their interns. All work responsibilities and projects are approved in advance. 

Academic Credit

Students on an internship have the opportunity to enroll in their home university for credit, or enroll in a course through API to transfer back to their university for credit. Email support-internships@apiexperience.com for more information and a syllabus.
