About the role
We’re looking for an Associate Content Producer to own the execution of customer testimonial videos and support our growing content engine for Otter is a restaurant technology platform serving tens of thousands of operators globally.
In this role, you’ll drive adoption of our Point of Sale and hardware products (Kiosk, Handheld, etc.) among restaurant owners and operators across the US & Canada.
You’ll produce restaurant testimonial content and source and manage creators to develop content to drive brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
Experience:
- 2–3 years of Production experience OR demonstrable portfolio of high-quality, high-impact social media or video content. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to transition from film, TV, or entertainment technology and marketing.
What you’ll do
Testimonial Production
- Coordinate with restaurant partners to produce video testimonials
- Manage logistics: scheduling, locations, approvals, and communication
- Coordinate shoots (in-person and remote) with videographers and operators
Creative Execution
- Direct shoots (framing, interview flow, storytelling)
- Capture high-quality, authentic content in real restaurant environments
- Adapt quickly and problem-solve on location
Post-production
- Manage asset delivery and handoff to editors. Editing experience is not required
- Coordinate multiple edit versions for social and paid media
- Provide feedback aligned with creative and growth marketing goals
Creator & Influencer Partnerships
- Source and manage creators for Instagram/TikTok content
- Guide content direction to drive performance
- Manage contracts, deliverables, and timelines
Who you are
You are highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and stakeholders at once. You’re a self-starter who takes ownership and initiative, with a strong creative instinct and eye for content that performs. You’re scrappy and resourceful—you get things done and don’t take no for an answer. You’re also a strong communicator who works well across teams and external partners, and you’re data-driven, with a focus on performance and continuously learning what works.

- Content creator or influencer yourself
- Portfolio of video or highly visible and engaging social media work
Network of videographers and/or creators
Tools experience (not all required)
Organizational: Notion, Jira, Dropbox, Google Suite
Editing/Production: Frame.io, Premiere, Final Cut, Descript, CapCut, Riverside, WeTransfer
Role details
- Contract-to-hire (starting at ~30 hours per week)
- Based in Los Angeles (in-office at our Downtown LA HQ)
- Requires travel across Greater Los Angeles and occasionally beyond (all expenses covered)
- Opportunity to grow and transition into a full-time role based on performance

Application Challenge
Create a short video ad (max 1 minute) where you interview the owner, server, or worker at your favorite bar, café, or restaurant.
Ask them:
- Their story and how they got into food service
- Their favorite item on the menu and why
- What they love, or dislike about their current POS
Edit and format the video as an ad. Find a clear angle, make it engaging, and lead with a strong hook, you only have a few seconds to capture attention before someone scrolls.
Keep it authentic, compelling, and concise (no longer than 1 minute).
