Position: LEGO Robotics Instructor
Age Group: Elementary Students
Pay Rate: $35–$40/hr (depending on experience)
About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on and engaging Instructor to lead our LEGO Robotics Program for elementary students in an after-school setting. Students will explore engineering, coding basics, and problem-solving through LEGO builds and beginner robotics challenges.
You’ll guide students through structured STEM activities that make learning fun, interactive, and creative while building foundational tech skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead LEGO robotics and beginner coding-based STEM activities
- Guide students through building, testing, and improving projects
- Teach basic engineering and problem-solving concepts in an age-appropriate way
- Support teamwork, collaboration, and critical thinking
- Manage classroom engagement in a structured after-school environment
- Troubleshoot basic robotics and technical issues
- Collaborate with site coordinators and program staff
- Provide consistent communication and session updates to the program team
Requirements
- Experience working with elementary-aged children (required)
- Familiarity with LEGO robotics or STEM education programs
- Comfortable guiding hands-on engineering and coding activities
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Must maintain clear, timely, and professional communication with the team
- Required to submit brief after-class updates/reports for each session
- Reliable, organized, and proactive work style
- Energetic, patient, and engaging teaching approach
- Availability for Fall 2026 after-school schedule
- STEM, engineering, or coding background is a plus
