Operations Technologist

Location:
On-site in Lynchburg, Virginia

 

Your Day to Day as a Technologist:

  • Perform essential operational support tasks, including tool refurbishments, consumable inventory maintenance, and audit functions for Cat A and Cat B records.
  • Coordinate all aspects of bulk consumables critical to WMO production, construct SAP purchase requisitions, secure necessary management and engineering approvals, maintain vendor relationships, and ensure proper supply inventory levels.
  • Serve as a liaison between FLMs and Engineering to balance production flow with equipment availability for development and improvement projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Preference given to candidates with an Associate of Science Degree in a Technology program and/or a minimum of 2 years of related technologist or FLM experience.
    • Higher consideration provided to individuals with welding experience.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with FLMs, Operators, Engineers, and Management.
  • Ideal candidates are exceptional communicators with a high degree of organizational skill and the ability to communicate clearly and confidently across all levels of the organization.

 

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.
