English Language Arts Teacher
Manistee Middle High School is seeking a passionate and innovative ELA Teacher committed to fostering a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking. The ideal candidate will create a dynamic learning environment that supports student success through engaging instruction, literacy development, and data-driven strategies.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certification with BA or BX endorsement
- Highly Qualified as defined by NCLB (Elementary or Secondary certification considered)
Recommended:
- Experience with Writer’s Workshop, Collaborative Classroom, and Reading Apprenticeship
- Strong technology preparedness to enhance student learning
- Familiarity with the PLC framework for collaborative instructional planning
- Ability to analyze and utilize NWEA data to drive student growth
- Proven experience in implementing best practices for literacy instruction
- Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to student engagement
