Engineering Technician

Summary Description: Provide survey and CADD skills to prepare engineering plans and exhibits. Utilize technical skills to perform initial designs and layouts of infrastructure and civil/site engineering projects. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform field surveys to collect attribute and location data utilizing various methods which may include GPS and/or total station survey equipment.
  • Provide a full range of drawing production work including schematic design thru construction drawings
  • Compile historical data for new projects

Requirements

  • Education: Associate Degree or Technical School equivalent with course work in Drafting (CAD) and Civil, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • Experience: 0-5 years of professional experience
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
    • AutoCAD Civil 3D
    • Survey
    • Knowledge of drafting/CAD techniques, design, and engineering terminology.
    • Computer literacy including Microsoft programs
