Job Description:

Stonecom Radio is growing. You can be a part of the Lite Rock 95.9, Rock 93-7, 106.9 Kicks Country, News Talk 94.1, 93-3 The Dawg, Sports Radio 104.7, 101.9 / AM 920 WLIV, 96-9 Hwy 111 Country team.

We are seeking motivated, reliable individuals interested in gaining real-world experience in broadcast media. This entry-level position offers hands-on opportunities in audio production, news gathering, sports coverage, and on-air support. No prior experience is required, but a strong interest in media is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily broadcast operations, including audio production and editing
  • Support news and sports coverage, including gathering information and preparing content
  • Help with recording, editing, and producing audio segments and podcasts
  • Operate basic broadcast equipment under supervision
  • Assist with live or recorded on-air programming
  • Contribute ideas for stories, segments, and digital content

Qualifications:

  • High school student or recent graduate preferred
  • Strong interest in broadcasting, journalism, or media production
  • Willingness to learn and take direction
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to meet deadlines
  • Interest in audio editing, podcasts, or sports media is a plus

Skills (Preferred but Not Required):

  • Basic computer skills
  • Familiarity with social media platforms
  • Interest in audio/video editing software

Work Schedule:

  • Part-time hours, flexible scheduling available

Compensation:

  • Paid position, based on experience

Job Requirements:

A prospective Stonecom On-Air Talent/Programming Assistant must:

  • Be an assertive self-starter, take initiative
  • Have the ability to learn tasks, retain knowledge, apply that to other scenarios and problem solve
  • Provide incredible on-air engagement through a shift and dynamic locally produced shows
  • Have audio production skills/ability to learn and grow
  • Have basic radio programming knowledge/ability to learn and grow
  • Have a positive attitude
  • Possesses a willingness to learn and take constructive criticism
  • Desire to do things right the firs time without hand-holding
