Test Engineer (1090)
AI Signal Research, Inc. (ASRI) is recruiting for the Potomac River Test Range (PRTR) contract in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division's non-explosive open air and indoor test, evaluation, and experimentation for the Test and Evaluation Division (E40) within the Gun and Electric Weapons Department.
Education: A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
Months/Years of Experience: None
Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizen. Must have or be able to obtain a Security Clearance. Requires knowledge of principles and practices of aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or systems engineering. Travel as required (up to 25% of the time) to offsite test locations.
Desired Qualifications:
• Navy and/or Marine Corps related experience is preferred but not required for consideration.
* Ability to manage various aspects of a project to include technical, schedule, and budget.
• Ability to work effectively with customers to define test requirements and objectives.
• Strong communication skills to enable effective written and oral communication with all internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to function independently in a dynamic environment with a diverse team.
*Ability to quickly comprehend and implement Test & Evaluation tools, processes, and items under test.
*Ability to multi-task, including working through test planning, execution, and reporting for multiple tests simultaneously.
Skills Needed:
• Knowledge and comfort working with electronics.
• Strong problem solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Attention to detail.
Duties: This Test Engineer will be assigned to one of our Test & Evaluations Teams (Guns, Ammo, Directed Energy, Environmental, etc.) based upon experience and funded projects in need of support at time of hire.
