Key Responsibilities of the Pool Desk Attendant:
- Interact and greet members and their guests with enthusiasm.
- Record all members checking in to the pool each day in the Pool Pass system.
- Record daily guests and accurately log names on Guest Slips and in Pool Pass.
- Distribute and collect towels in accordance with current towel loan procedure.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of aquatic programs, events, and activities and be able to answer members’ questions regarding such programs.
- Regular and reliable attendance – scheduled shifts are a weekly commitment, and all shifts are expected to be met each week.
- Requests for vacation time need to be presented to Pool Desk Managers at the beginning of the summer season in order to best accommodate the time off
- In the event of late notice, it is the individual’s responsibility to find adequate coverage; otherwise, they must attend the originally scheduled shift
- Maintain a safe environment within facilities and activities and a clean working environment (ie. sweeping around the pool desk area, cleaning spills, etc.)
- Assist in the implementation of potential programs, special events, swim meets, and recreation events if needed.
- Effectively communicate with the Pool Director, Lifeguards, and Pool Hands.
- Carry out all opening, closing, and daily procedures.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as required.
- Uniform (2 sets) will be provided and should be worn for every shift.
- Work week is a Monday through Sunday schedule, payday is every Wednesday.
